A.   Instructions
Before buying replacement print cartridges, verify the correct part number.
(for the ViewPlus PIA use VPT9003-00, sold in packages of 3)
 
To replace or insert cartridge:
 
  1. Load paper
  2. Be sure that the PIA is attached to the ViewPlus Pro.
  3. Turn on the embosser.
  4. Put your finger on the grooved part of the door on the top of the PIA, and slide the door open.

  1. While the door is open, the ink cartridges should be positioned for easy access.
  2. Remove the ink cartridges from the packaging and carefully remove the plastic tape.
Caution! Do not touch the print cartridge ink nozzles or copper contacts.  Touching these parts will result in clogs, ink failure, and bad electrical connections.  Do not remove the copper strips.  They are required electrical contacts. Like all ink cartridges these ink cartridges are susceptible to drying out if exposed to the air or not used for extended periods.

  1. Hold the print cartridge so that the copper strip is on the top and the plastic tab is on the bottom facing away from the printer.  Then insert the print cartridge top first into the cradle as shown.  Do the same procedure for the second print cartridge.

  1. You will see the message (Replace Cart. 1(or2) ? )  and hear the message, "Select to confirm Cartridge 1 (or 2) replacement" 
  2. Confirm by pressing the Select button.   If you have replaced both cartridges, you must repeat steps 8 and 9. 
  3. Follow the instructions in the manual for the Ink-Emboss Alignment.
