If you are using an IVEO Touchpad, the initial
setup has already been performed for you. However, you will still need
to calibrate the Touchpad as described in Section B. If for any reason
your Touchpad's initial setup information is no longer recognized, you
may perform the initial setup again as described below. If you are using an IVEO Touchpad Portable, continue with the initial setup below before performing calibration.
Place the IVEO Touchpad or Touchpad Portable on a level, flat
surface like a desk, or on your lap. The USB plug should be at the back of the touchpad, away from you.
Installation of all
necessary software for the IVEO Touchpad and Touchpad Portable is done when the IVEO Creator Pro, Creator or Viewer is installed. Install IVEO software, making sure to check the box to install touchpad support, and then open IVEO Creator Pro, Creator or Viewer to proceed with setup, calibration
and use of the IVEO Touchpad or Touchpad Portable.
The touchpad must be set up to work with your computer, and then
the IVEO software must be calibrated so the screen image is properly positioned
relative to the touchpad. These steps are VERY IMPORTANT. The application will
not work properly with the touchpad until these two steps are finished.
- In the File menu Preferences item, be
sure that the box for Accessibility Mode is checked, and that fixed screen mode and Windows dialogs are
selected.
- In the Touchpad menu, select the Touchpad Settings item. When the Touchpad Settings dialog appears, choose your touchpad, either the IVEO Touchpad or the IVEO Touchpad Portable, and then select OK.
- Be sure the IVEO touchpad initial setup
pattern is in place. The touchpad is
shipped with the initial setup pattern clamped into place in the upper left corner of the touchpad. If it has been removed or lost, print a new copy using the 'Print Initial IVEO Touchpad Setup Pattern' command from the Touchpad menu.
- Use the 'Perform Initial IVEO Touchpad Setup' item in the Touchpad menu to start the setup
process. Note that the process
times out ten seconds after each operation. If it times out, start over.
- After starting the setup process, press the single dot in
the lower left corner of the calibration page. After hearing a tone, keep holding down for about 3 seconds.
- Do the same
press and hold process on the double dot in the upper right-hand corner,
- Do the same
press and hold process on the triple dot in the upper left corner.
- IVEO Touchpad only: Do the same press and hold process on the four dots in the center of the page.
- A window
should now pop up to tell you that the setup is finished. Click 'OK'.
Once the touchpad has been set up, it should
never need it again on that computer. |
